MACHINGA YOUTH SYMPOSIUM ON PEACE AND CONFLICT PREVENTION
Today, 9th July 2025, Youth Impact participated in a Youth Symposium focused on strengthening youth involvement in peacebuilding and conflict prevention. The session emphasized key areas such as the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 (UNSCR 2250), which outlines the importance of youth participation, protection, and prevention in peace processes. Participants also explored conflict analysis and early warning systems as essential tools in identifying and addressing the root causes of violence. A major focus was placed on the role of youth in preventing electoral violence and promoting peaceful democratic participation. The symposium brought together passionate young people from across Machinga, committed to fostering peace, unity, and sustainable community development.
