MENTORS TRAINED ON DIGITAL SKILLS UNDER THE TEENS PROJECT

10/23/2025

Following the recent distribution of tablet phones to 60 mentors, 15 from each of the Traditional Authorities Sale, Ngokwe, Mchinguza, and Mizinga have undergone a digital skills training session under the Technology Enhancement Networks (TEENs) project.

The training aimed to ensure that mentors effectively use the tablets to collect data and manage activities in their Safe Spaces.

During the sessions, mentors were equipped with practical skills in using Word, PowerPoint, Email, and Google Meet. These digital tools will help them improve reporting, enhance communication, and participate in virtual meetings with ease.

This initiative will not only strengthen the management of Safe Spaces but also promote digital inclusion among young mentors, ensuring they can confidently use technology to support adolescent girls and young women in their communities.

The TEENs program continues to empower mentors with the tools and knowledge needed to foster innovation, accountability, and growth within Safe Spaces across Machinga and Balaka districts.

The program is supported by the Embassy of Ireland through UNFPA, in partnership with Malawi Girl Guides Association (MAGGA).
