Promoting Peace and Preventing Conflict in Machinga

Youth Impact Organisation is proud to be at the forefront of peace-building efforts in Machinga District. With support from the United Nations Secretary-General's Peacebuilding Fund through UNFPA, and in partnership with the Foundation for Civic Education and Social Empowerment (FOCESE), we are working to create safer, more inclusive communities. Our mission focuses on addressing critical challenges such as gender-based violence, child marriages, and human trafficking—issues that continue to affect many vulnerable groups, especially women and girls. Through community dialogues, awareness campaigns, and collaboration with local leaders and youth, we aim to build a culture of peace and mutual respect across Machinga. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to prevent conflict, strengthen protection systems, and empower communities to drive change from within.
