YOUTH IMPACT DIRECTOR JOINS KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO SET NATIONAL HEALTH RESEARCH PRIORITIES

Last week, our Executive Director, Belinda Chimombo, represented the organization at the Health Systems Resilience Research Priority Setting Consensus Workshop. The event, held on March 26, 2026, at the Chikho Hotel in Mponela, Dowa, served as a pivotal gathering for the future of Malawi's healthcare infrastructure.

Organized by the Public Health Institute of Malawi (PHIM) in partnership with the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme (MLW), the workshop was designed to bridge the gap between current challenges and future solutions.

Key Highlights of the Workshop

The session brought together a diverse group of stakeholders who focused on:

• Reviewing Research Questions: Evaluating current gaps in the health sector.

• Ranking Priorities: Determining which research areas require immediate investment and attention.

• Building Consensus: Aligning various organizations on a unified strategy to bolster the nation's health systems resilience.
